Description: To continue
the development of language proficiency in all four skill areas (listening,
speaking, reading and writing) in preparation for the AP Spanish Exam. NOTE:
THIS IS A RIGOROUS SPANISH COURSE UNLIKE ANY YOU HAVE TAKEN THUS FAR- IT IS
MEANT TO BE THE EQUIVALENT OF A THREE HUNDRED LEVEL COLLEGE COURSE. In addition
to reviewing all grammar, and studying it more in depth, you will be required
to memorize an enormous amount of vocabulary weekly. This class is a major time
commitment- you must be able to commit to studying each night to be successful.
There will be daily quizzes.
Objectives: To master the
four basic skills in Spanish so that students will have a working fluency in
the target language that will enable them to communicate effectively with a
native Spanish-speaker as well as pass the AP Spanish exam.

GRADING
PROCEDURES: Grades
are computed using a weighted system.
This means that each assignment is given a value, from 1 to 10, based on
importance. The higher the value, the
more the grade is worth when being calculated for your average. The following
are some general guidelines about the weight of assignments:
