Personal: I am a Stephen Decatur Alumni, graduating in May of 2000. I attended Old Dominion University and Salisbury University for my undergraduate degree, which was a Bachelor's degree in nursing. Even after completing such a tough program, I realized that I really wanted to work with kids. I worked as an EA for the Special Ed department at Decatur as I completed my Masters in Secondary Education from the University of Phoenix. I am certified in Biology and I currently teach Environmental Science and Marine Biology. I am currently in the process of deciding what the next degree that I will pursue is, I am leaning towards guidance counseling. Outside of the classroom, I am the cheerleading coach, as I have been for four years now. I am found at most school events because I truly enjoy my job and believe in supporting the kids that I work with. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my husband Josh and our two labrador retrievers. We are newlyweds of sorts, as we just passed our one year anniversary. I am active in my church community at Community Church at Ocean Pines and volunteer my limited spare time to various organizations.
