BUSINESS AND FINANCE ACADEMY

P A T H W A Y S
Students must complete one pathway:
Administrative Assistant,
Marketing, or
Accounting
4 classes/credits are required for completion of each pathway

Student Requirements:
Students must earn a grade of C or higher in all Academy classes
Students should not miss more than 8-19 days of school per year
Students must maintain an overall GPA of 2.0 or higher in order to earn an internship

Information Processing (Mrs. Mapp)
Marketing I (Mr. Marx)
Marketing II (Mr. Marx)
Accounting I (Mr. Howard)
Accounting II (Mr. Howard)
Advanced Computer Applications--Word (Ms. Morrison)
Advanced Computer Applications--Excel (Ms. Morrison)
Internship--(Mr. Marx and Mr. Konyar)

 

State and Local Graduation Requirements:
1. English: 4 credits (English 9, English 10, American Literature and British Literature)
2. Mathematics: 3 credits (Algebra I, Algebra II, and Geometry)
3. Science: 3 credits (ChemCom or Action Physics, Biology, and Chemistry or Physics)
4. Social Studies: 3 credits (Government, World History, and U.S. History)
5. Foreign Language: 2 credits (Spanish I and Spanish II)
6. Other: 4 credits (Physical Education and Health, Technology Education,
Fine Art, and Psychology
7. Suggested Electives: 9 elective credits needed to graduate (Internship--2 credits, Cooperative Work Experience, Algebra III, Trigonometry, Probability and Statistics, Psychology AP, Art I, Art II, Photography, Communicating Arts, Creative Writing, Economics, Drama, Chemistry, Physics, Environmental Science and AP Science)
