**All participants must be pre-registered.  There will be registration on race day.

 

New Relay Division ( New This Year)

A Three Person relay team consisting of swimmer, bike, and runner will compete compete against other relay teams. This is not a typical triathlon event but we want to include as many kids as possible.

Age Brackets

10-12 year olds

13-15 year olds

16-18 year olds

 

**Proof of age is required.  All participants should have proof-of-age documentation on hand at the event site.  In case of a dispute, lack of proper documentation will result in disqualification of individual participants.

 

All age groups will:

·  Swim 100 yards

·  Bike 3.5 miles

·  Run 1 mile

 

Race Details:

Swim— The swim is located in the indoor 25 yard pool.  Children must be able to complete the distance independently, however they may rest momentarily at the walls.  Swimming heats will be divided up according to age groups, with 2 people per lane swimming parallel.

Bike— The bike is a 3.5 mile loop on neighboring streets.  All participants are required to wear ANSI approved bike helmets during the entire ride for their safety.

Run— The run will be on a dirt path around the neighboring pond.

 

Registration Details:

Race participation costs $20, which includes T-shirt (T-shirts are guaranteed to the first 50 registered)

Pre-race information:

Transition site opens at 10:00 am

Check in begins at 10:00 am

Race starts promptly at 11:00 am

 

What to bring race day?

·  Swimsuit

·  Goggles and Cap (Cap will be provided)

·  Towel

·  Bicycle and Bicycle Helmet (Required)

·  Sunscreen

·  Running Shoes

·  Water Bottle (there will be water stations)

·  Sports Core Pool Parking Lot

·  Library Parking Lot

·  Taylor Bank Parking Lot

 

What happens after the race?

·  Food and Drink Provided
